EYEWalk
The traditional white cane has been greatly favoured by the visually impaired and blind yet is limited by its range; not being able to detect above hip level obstacles can oppose a threat to visually impaired users.
The EYEWalk has been designed to amend the limitations of the white cane. Its dual ultrasonic sensors allow the cane to sense ground level obstacles as well as head level obstacles like tree branches. The vibration touchpad located on the handle will help the user to identify what type of obstacle is ahead though haptic feedback
